i always kinda found it strange when it came to pressing physical media, online artists always opt for cassettes and vinyl. for me, i always surrounded myself with CDs, or Blu-rays when growing up, my parents had it and always ripped them so its what i know, that's why i believe CDs should be treated with more respect, if that makes any sense. i know in a couple of years (hell, even next) that CDs will become the next new nostalgia driven thing, and people will start treating the format with a little more respect, i get its cheaper to just print cassettes but vinyls are a little more expensive imo so its kinda difficult but at that point, why not print CDs? idk, its just something that crosses my mind sometimes. i love going to record stores and music sections of stores and just browsing what they have, i found this weird techno compilation for like 4 bucks that's pretty cool. its called License 2 Rave and the cover is a license with an alien on it. its a 2 discs comp but its chill, i found it back in January when i was in atlanta. i love techno honestly. i think i'm slowly coming to realize i have a strong fascination with stuff like this, most notably rave music and drum n bass, i feel weirdly drawn to it for reasons i really cant explain but i love it a lot. all of it sounds really cool and its great something like this is also on spotify. the cover reminds me of that one video that would make rounds on the internet like nearly 20 years ago, its a video of an alien going on about being trapped in your phone and how the keypad was his testicles and you were pleasuring him, its really funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybd1KCx6ODQ. its insane 2006 was nearly 20 years ago huh. sometimes i get reminded and get semi whiplash cause i still feel like im in 2022 so when i see something from 2018 i always think like, "oh hey thats from 4 years ago" and then get hit with reality. its weird right? anyways im listening to yves's debut mini, loop, and the opening song diorama is genuinely such an amazing song but THE ALARM CLOCK SOUND. i hate it so much, even though i know its there, it always reminds me my alarm is going off and i have to walk all the way over to my desk just to turn it off. oh! i changed my wallpaper recently. yunjin of le sserafim posted some drawings she did on twitter and one of them were of the girls and it looked really cute so i made it my wallpaper, here it is:
cute right? i love it personally. oh, ive also been getting more into newjeans. im not really sure as to why? but i'm glad i am anyways, i love the content ive seen so far, they're all really funny. my bias is hanni and she's rly cool, i love her accent although Minji is slowly creeping in and being a bias wrecker. i love the vibes she gives off and i also personally love her response to things like in the asap wish list video. she's so cute. i've been drinking a lot of water as of late. im currently drinking flavored water right now, the wild berry splash tastes a lot like those kool aid jammers i used to drink and they're absolutely amazing. i love the taste so much and i wanna drink more. i stopped drinking dark drinks entirely, well, soda. i hate the after taste of diet coke or diet pepsi so i opted out for other sodas like mellow yellow and mtn dew and i like them much more. i need to fix eating but i'm making progress. i wrote this on my personal Instagram story but ill post it here too cause i feel like people should see it more:
i mostly wrote it because i felt pretty terrible yesterday, for a lot of reasons, mostly about my identity, but i realized i really shouldn't cause i like how i am, and i love what i do. i don't think i should be ashamed of me and who i am. neither should anyone else, that's why we're here right? to be ourselves? it really doesn't make sense to go against yourself. you have things to be happy and sad about, wasting those feelings on menial things is lame. ughhhh, i wanna get a bluetooth speaker. walmart has their own brand that sells small rugged ones for 15 bucks and they're insanely good, especially for the price. i wanna get one cause i like listening to music in the shower but i really hate bringing my laptop into there cause i take hot showers so there's condensation on everything and i feel bad for my laptop. im probably gonna get one like this weekend but i want it now, lol. i hope to get rid of spotify one day. im close to it as well, i just wanna put my music on my laptop first and then get that speaker. it'll be a game changer, im so tired of paying 6 bucks a month for stuff i can get elsewhere like on spotify and youtube (cough). ive been listening to all in by lucki a lot recently, great song, i love the beat, earl sweatshirt is such a good producer. thats all i really have to say right now but i hope everyone has a good day or week or month. signing out.
